Grosvenor Jazz is coming to Birkdale URC!

Trio Nay launching Grosvenor Jazz 29th September!

Trio Nay performs vocal jazz standards and repertoire from the Great American Songbook unapologetically and proudly, as this is such good material! The trio aims to remind people of the quality of these songs and introduce them to those who are unfamiliar with them. Influences come from the great interpreters of this repertoire, particularly Ella Fitzgerald (for example, ‘Love is Here to Stay’ and ‘The Lady is a Tramp’ from the Song Book albums) and more recent artists such as Amy Winehouse (‘Someone to Watch Over Me’ from the Deluxe Edition of Frank). The stripped down nature of a drummerless trio allows the voice to be the featured aspect, with piano solos, the occasional double bass solo and some reharmonisations of familiar songs to add interest.

Starts at 7:30 pm. Entry by ticket only, £10 including a light supper.

BYOB, glasses available. Numbers limited.

Call Brian on 07817 540 133 to book.
