The CHRISTMAS FAIR

was a great success!  Many visitors welcomed the new format which  focussed on hand-made items, cards, cakes and decorations, and extended the range of the old favourite raffles and tombolas.  It was well supported by local businesses, which gave gifts and vouchers generously.  Please support them!

Our HARVEST FESTIVAL service

was held on 27th October,  attended by our Scouts, Cubs, Beavers, Brownies and Rainbows.  In a busy service, the Scouts renewed their promise as part of their 70th birthday celebrations and a new leader was sworn in.

The Scouts also brought 77 boxes for the Shoebox Appeal, in which gifts will be sent to deprived children in Eastern Europe and Africa.  They will go to children who would otherwise not have received presents this Christmas.

The Harvest Festival produce was donated to the Southport Soup Kitchen, who do much needed work in our town.

THE CRAFTERS CALLED!

Following our appeal for crafters to come along to church for a day of crafting, a brilliant group came, crafted and left us with lots of lovely items for the craft stall at our Church Christmas Fair to be held on Saturday 30th November at 2:30pm.

Thank you everybody for sharing your skills and being so generous with your time.
