Woodvale Badminton Club
Woodvale BC is one of the largest clubs in theSouthport &District Badminton League, with eight teams across all ability levels.
The club started in 1967 with two teams and has grown steadily under the stalwart leadership of Malcolm and Julie Banham.
The 1st team is settled in Division 1 and won the Championship Shield for the first time in the 2012/13 season. Miles Johnson, winner of a Commonwealth Games medal, played for the club for several seasons from 2000.
The club has a vibrant and successful junior section with over 60 youngsters receiving weekly coaching sessions. It also caters for adult beginners.
